Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Sawtna platform (“Service”), you (“User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. These terms apply to all nurses, hospital administrators, and any other authorized users. Your hospital’s agreement with Sawtna governs institutional use; these terms govern your individual use as an authorized user.
2. Description of Service
Sawtna is a browser-based Arabic voice AI platform that assists nurses in generating structured clinical documentation from natural speech. The Service supports progress notes in SOAP and narrative formats, vital signs records, medication administration records, shift handover notes, care plans, nursing tasks, and discharge notes. It operates on any standard web browser with a microphone-enabled device; no installation is required.
3. Medical Disclaimer — Please Read Carefully
Sawtna is a clinical documentation assistance tool and is not a medical device, diagnostic or clinical decision support system. Sawtna does not provide medical advice, clinical diagnoses, or treatment recommendations; replace the clinical judgment of licensed healthcare professionals; guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or clinical appropriateness of generated notes; or detect all clinically significant information spoken by the user. All notes generated by Sawtna must be reviewed and approved by the licensed nurse before submission to any patient record. The nurse remains fully and solely responsible for all submitted documentation. By using Sawtna, you acknowledge and accept this disclaimer.
4. User Eligibility and Account Requirements
Users must be licensed healthcare professionals authorized by their employing institution and hospital administrator to use Sawtna. Users must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate and current account information, and maintain one individual account only. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.
5. User Responsibilities
Users must carefully review every AI-generated note before approval, never approve documentation they have not personally verified, and never create false, misleading, or fabricated clinical documentation. Keep login credentials secure, log out on shared devices, promptly report security concerns to support@sawtna.app, use the Service only for legitimate clinical documentation purposes, and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
6. Hospital Administrator Responsibilities
Hospital administrators must ensure access is limited to appropriately licensed and authorized nurses, oversee documentation generated within their institution, deactivate access when authorization changes, ensure use complies with hospital policies and HCAC accreditation standards, and promptly notify Sawtna of security concerns or data incidents.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Sawtna unlawfully, access or interfere with other users’ data, reverse engineer or copy the platform, use automated tools or harmful code, circumvent security measures or rate limits, or document patients not under your clinical care.
8. Data Ownership and Privacy
Clinical notes generated through Sawtna belong to the hospital and its patients. Sawtna acts as a data processor on behalf of the hospital as data controller. All handling is governed by our Privacy Policy and each hospital’s Data Processing Agreement. Voice recordings are deleted immediately after transcription, patient names are never stored on Sawtna servers, and clinical notes are encrypted at rest and in transit.
9. Intellectual Property
Sawtna and its technology, algorithms, AI models, software, branding, user interface, and content are the exclusive intellectual property of Abdalrahman Alkawasmeh and Sawtna. Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license during their hospital’s active agreement solely for authorized clinical documentation. This license does not permit copying, reproducing, distributing, modifying, creating derivative works, publicly displaying, or commercially exploiting the Service without written consent.
10. Service Availability
Sawtna aims to maintain 99% platform uptime. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated to hospital administrators at least 24 hours in advance where possible. Sawtna is not liable for interruptions caused by factors beyond its reasonable control, including connectivity issues, third-party outages, force majeure events, or hospital network infrastructure.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Jordanian law, Sawtna and its founder, employees, and agents are not liable for clinical errors, patient harm, adverse outcomes, loss of data outside Sawtna’s control, indirect or consequential damages, or damages arising from unsecured accounts. Total liability to any user or institution will not exceed fees paid to Sawtna in the three months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sawtna and its founder from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including legal fees, arising from use of the Service in violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, breach of patient privacy obligations, or submission of inaccurate or misleading clinical documentation.
13. Termination
Sawtna may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms, pose a risk to patient safety, engage in unauthorized access or security violations, or act harmfully toward Sawtna or other users. Hospitals may terminate their agreement under its signed pilot or subscription terms. Upon termination, accounts are deactivated and data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
14. Modifications to the Service
Sawtna may modify, update, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service at any time. Material changes affecting core functionality will be communicated to hospital administrators at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after a modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Service.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amman, Jordan. Before legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation for 30 days.
16. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, it will be limited or eliminated only to the minimum necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed hospital agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sawtna regarding use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
